About Mohan
I offer one-to-one tuition to students who are struggling with school mathematics and who wish to improve their test scores. I have experience teaching students up to and including GCSE mathematics across all exam boards. The areas where recurring mistakes are being made will be identified and alternative techniques for solving those problems explained, demonstrated and practiced until the student feels totally comfortable and confident with those types of problems. My background - I have always loved maths, but I have not always excelled at it. I am grateful to my parents who supported me with extra maths tuition during my school days and this led me onto achieving top grades in my A-Levels and onto studying aeronautical engineering at a world top 10 university. I now work in the aerospace sector in the design of helicopters, which is a lot of fun, but wouldn't have been possible without a strong foundation in mathematics from a young age. I wish to pass my knowledge and experience onto the next generation and encourage them into a career in STEM.
I believe the most efficient way to deliver tuition is via online and using virtual whiteboards - I have had great success with this over the past two years.

Mohan tutored me when I was revising towards my Maths GCSE. I have always found Maths hard to concentrate on, and he always kept me focused. If you don't understand something, he will explain it in different ways, giving you the time to understand it clearly.
My son needed some support with his Maths during lockdown. Mohan spent time showing my son different ways to complete a task, to how he’d been shown in school. This gave my son more confidence to try a method that suited him. Mohan has a very calm and professional approach which is what my son needed.
