About Chris
When you work with me, you join a nurturing space that prioritizes your individual voice and artistic growth. I tailor lessons to your current abilities and aspirations—whether you’re building foundational skills, increasing vocal agility, or preparing for auditions. Bringing music that inspires you is encouraged, so lessons stay relevant and exciting. We blend technical work—breath control, pitch accuracy, tone development—with creative tools like vocal improvisation, storytelling, and visualization to develop both skill and expressiveness. I pay close attention to your physical and emotional state during each lesson, adjusting activities to provide grounding or energizing vocal exercises as needed. My aim is to create a warm, judgment-free environment where you feel safe to experiment and grow your confidence. We’ll establish a consistent practice routine that fits your lifestyle and keeps your progress steady and enjoyable. Additionally, I offer coaching in harmony singing, songwriting, and stage presence to support your holistic artistic development. Whether you sing for personal fulfillment, emotional release, or professional success, I’m committed to helping you sing with freedom and authenticity.

Singing is an intimate form of expression that combines the physical, emotional, and cultural dimensions of the human experience. My teaching approach integrates Communication, Creativity, Cultural Sensitivity, and Accountability to create a learning environment that fosters growth in all these areas. Communication is essential to building a foundation of trust and clarity; I encourage open dialogue so you feel heard and understood, and I explain techniques in ways that relate directly to your experience. Creativity is at the heart of our sessions;
I use imaginative exercises like vocal painting, storytelling, and lyric exploration to keep lessons engaging and to deepen your connection to the music. Cultural sensitivity enriches the learning process by inviting students to approach songs with respect for their origins and significance, while also helping you choose material that reflects your personal identity and values.
Accountability ensures steady progress—I provide structured practice guides, timely feedback, and regular goal reviews that motivate and empower you. Alongside these values, we work on developing healthy vocal habits, expanding range and dynamics, refining tone quality, and mastering stylistic nuances. Whether you’re singing to perform or to connect more deeply with yourself, I offer a nurturing space where your voice can grow strong, expressive, and uniquely yours.
