About Glenn
I have taught in various capacities for more than 30 years and for the last 7 years taught, mostly Chinese people , to use English. In all I have have assisted literally thousands of English learners to achieve what they needed including degrees and finding jobs. It is my greatest joy and I love to help while discussing any topic the student desires or finds interesting. As a qualified aero engineer, public speaker, former business owner and more recently qualified TEFL teacher my interests are varied and make teaching interesting for us both.

My methods by necessity are led by my students and their needs. I do favour reading literature to widen vocabulary, gain fluency, comprehension, pronunciation and discuss grammar used. Teaching students how to prepare and deliver a short talk is also very beneficial. All the conventional methods for teaching principles of grammar etc are employed as and when needed. Most of all, what is fun, what is productive, what works for each student, is the right method to use. This is generally why I prefer to teach one to one.
