About Sophia
I earned my M.S. in Physics from MIT and have 5 years of tutoring experience in Boston, focusing on Thermodynamics and quantum applications. I also worked as a teaching assistant for advanced lab courses, guiding undergraduates in hands-on experiments. I hold a Massachusetts Physics Teaching Certificate and am available weekday and weekend sessions. I deliver elite Physics and quantum methods—covering classical mechanics, Thermodynamics (entropy, heat cycles), and foundational quantum concepts (superposition, basic particle-in-a-box). Lessons integrate Calculus-based derivations and hands-on demonstrations (home calorimetry). We also use Python for quantitative physics tasks like data fitting and simulation of projectile motion. Each session includes practice sets modeled after AP, IB, and undergraduate exam formats, followed by thorough conceptual breakdowns.
