About Lydia

My teaching approach is practical, supportive, and tailored to real-life needs. I help students improve sentence structure, vocabulary, and writing clarity using step-by-step methods. For those needing confidence in speaking, we practice real conversations and roleplays that feel natural and useful. I create a safe space where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and grow without pressure. Many of my students are new to English or returning to study after time away. I understand how important it is to feel heard, understood, and supported. I break down difficult concepts into simple parts and always move at your pace. About the lesson

I’m an English tutor with over 10 years of experience and a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics with a focus on English Literature. My love for reading, storytelling, and creative writing has shaped my approach to teaching. I believe that language is more than rules—it's a tool for self-expression, discovery, and imagination.

I work with teens, college students, and aspiring writers to help them build confidence and skill in reading comprehension, essay writing, literary analysis, and vocabulary. Whether we’re diving into a classic novel or exploring your own writing voice, I aim to make each lesson exciting and meaningful.

I use engaging texts and creative tasks to spark curiosity and encourage deep thinking. From analyzing poetic techniques to crafting compelling thesis statements, I guide students step by step. I also help students explore big ideas through literature and strengthen their academic writing with clarity and style.
