About Sara
As a licensed elementary educator with over eight years of classroom and substitute teaching experience, I bring a warm, supportive, and highly adaptable approach to helping students succeed. My career has taken me through a diverse range of classrooms—from the wonder-filled world of kindergarten to the growing independence of fourth grade. These experiences have equipped me with a deep understanding of child development, differentiated instruction, and the patience and creativity needed to meet students where they are. For five years, I served as a full-time teacher, designing engaging lessons that made foundational subjects like reading, writing, and math come alive for young learners. Prior to that, I worked as a substitute teacher for three years, gaining a unique perspective on varied teaching styles, school environments, and student needs. This breadth of experience has made me especially skilled at quickly building rapport, maintaining consistency, and offering tailored support that aligns with both academic goals and emotional development. I believe that learning should be joyful and empowering. My tutoring sessions are structured yet flexible, with an emphasis on confidence-building, curiosity, and steady progress.
