About Kandice
Hi, I’m Kandice Hales from Queen Creek, Arizona. I’m a special education teacher with several years of classroom experience and a passion for helping students build strong reading, writing, and math foundations. I specialize in working with children who benefit from individualized instruction, hands-on learning, and extra support to boost their confidence and understanding. Education is personal for me — I work closely with my own son and two nieces on their academics, which helps me connect with students in a patient, encouraging way. Families can feel confident knowing I bring both professional expertise and genuine care to every session. My goal is to make learning engaging, achievable, and enjoyable for every child.

Is your child struggling with reading, writing, or basic math skills? I offer patient, individualized tutoring designed to help students strengthen their academic foundation and build lasting confidence.
I provide support in reading and literacy, including phonics, decoding strategies, grammar, sentence writing, reading comprehension, and fluency. In math, I focus on building a solid understanding of multi-digit addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using visual supports and hands-on practice.

Details
I offer 30-minute tutoring sessions at a rate of $30. I’ve found that students accomplish more in shorter, focused sessions rather than full-hour lessons, as this helps prevent burnout and keeps them motivated and attentive.
The first free lesson is a 30 minute consultation giving a chance to meet me and ask any additional questions and also create a learning plan for your child.
