Elementary School Teacher tutors all subjects has experience with Special Needs Students

I do not recommend Ms Barnes. I hired her to tutor my daughter and we agree to 5 hours a week. She did not communicate well. Would respond hours later. When confronted that I would like to part ways with her. She stated that she would refund my money back today. Friday 10/01/2021. She has blocked me on cash app and I had to dispute with my bank. Please find someone who is honest. Also she only does zoom learning which I knew my daughter wouldn’t learn much. The few hours she did give my child her homework was wrong. Answers put in wrong places. And I still had to go behind Shevie and finish up her homework.

Ms. Barnes would mainly speak about her students to other teachers in a way the highlighted their strengths, not weaknesses. When she had a question about how a specific student was in my class, she would always wait until all students had left for the day. Or she would message over the teacher app we used at the time.

Shevie is not only a wonderful person but an excellent teacher. She uses much creativivity in her teaching and is very patient. She works with each child individually and according to their level. She is honest, funny and always looking for new ideas in which to make learning fun. As a past coworker I am glad to be able to give a recommendation for her.

Shevie has helped my son with his reading in a short period of time And my son loves her! Highly recommend!
