About KIMBERLY
I have my master's in Teaching. I am currently teaching in the Hickman School District. Prior to that, I taught in Kansas City Public Schools. I have taught pre-K through 3rd grade. I am married to my husband, Todd. We have 4 adult children. Our oldest is in law school in Kansas City. I have 3 in college: freshman (Chicago), junior (Manhattan, KS), and a senior (Lawrence, KS) and two dogs!

We will spend time using proven curriculum that is systematic and fun to use. Depending on where your scholar is currently scoring in decoding and spelling will guide our plan of action. I keep the lessons engaging and fun. Children will not even realize they are increasing their reading fluency and comprehension. Reading requires practice just like any sport or musical talent. Reading has to take place outside of class a minimum of 15 minutes a day. I will grant your child access to the top reading apps available on both iOS and Android. Let me help your child learn to love reading! And set them up for success for next school year. I work both in person at local libraries and via Zoom.
