About Emma
I am an elementary school tutor who has been giving individual lessons for over 1 year. I have taught at least 7 students individually. One of my 4th grade students' math grade raised approximately 50%, and one of my 6th grade students' math grade raised from a D to a B+.

My teaching method is based greatly on enthusiasm and making sure that each child is having a great time while learning all that he or she can. During sessions, I use probing techniques and provide examples to students to help them begin evaluating on their own. When I see that they are demonstrating a basic understanding of the material, I have them explain how they found their answer as though they are the tutor and I am the student. This solidifies the students' understanding and gives them the confidence to go forth and learn more.
