About Sidrah
I come from a family of teachers and have always helped out in a school setting - since I was 13! I’ve worked as a tutor since I was 16 years old in almost every subject for elementary school children. In college, I studied Cognitive Science and worked as a tutor throughout college at a center for refugee families. That experience is one of my most fond memories and the friendships I made with those families are still so special for me! After college, I worked as a Teacher Assistant while working on a UX (User Experience) Design course and I helped teach over 150 students in my two years there. I managed an entire classroom for 6 months on my own and even taught a new international student English! Since then, I’ve tutored 10-15 more friends and I’m so excited and passionate about getting to meet you too!

My methodology is to first earn the trust of the student and then personalize their learning. I identify their strengths, weaknesses and how they learn by communicating with their families/teachers. I work with elementary/middle schoolers and customize each student’s learning plans based on how they learn best - ive made games for some students in the past and for others, i’ve made customized presentations!
