Hello! My name is Pavi, a student at UIUC, majoring in Neuroscience with the intent of going to medical school. I have been tutoring for the last four years for over 325+ hours and have primarily worked with elementary and middle schoolers in math and reading.

I have worked with a middle school in math who started off with earning Cs in regular math, and within one year of working with me he earned an A in his math class and was moved up to honors, and is currently earning an A in Honors with my help.

In high school, I took many Honors and AP classes, graduated in the top 10% of my class, and was a National Merit Commended Scholar. My SAT score is in the 99th percentile, with a perfect 800 math score and a near-perfect reading score. I brought my SAT score from 1100 to 1520+ in just 4 months. After taking and excelling on the SAT, these tests have become second nature to me, and I have found many test-taking strategies for students of all starting levels to maximize their scores.

As someone who went through the standardized testing process just two 2 ago, I understand how daunting standardized tests can be, and the pressure students feel during test time. During my SAT preparation, I learned how to break down complicated problems and learn strategies to most effectively take the test to maximize scores and tackle test anxiety.

I will provide extensive test prep and support for students preparing for the SAT. I do everything I can to make sure that my students feel confident and calm when approaching a standardized test. I enjoy helping others learn the strategy behind succeeding on standardized tests, as well as teaching the little tricks to get a top 99th percentile score. I focus on drilling practice problems until the student is familiar with all concepts and strategies needed to tackle those problems. I aim to break down complicated problems into simple terms to solve them quickly and efficiently to eliminate mistakes and gain confidence when taking a test.
