About Peter
Good day people!
My name Is Peter and I live in South Africa.
I graduated in 1981 from Technikon Natal and then later did the Higher diploma (Electrical Engineering Light Current)
Thereafter I worked as an Engineering assistant on Signaling and all electronic control systems at the national rail agency.
I then went to specialize in telecommunications, with the then new fiber cables taking over from conventional copper.
Fifteen years later I went into instrumentation and worked at metal and copper foundries doing maintenance and repairs to a myriad of equipment until retiring in 2016.
Now I sit at home keeping abreast of new developments and do specialist repairs for mostly the mining industries.

I will start with basics and minimal tools and then progress to more exiting stuff that will keep you busy for hours.
The focus shall always be on faultfinding first as the actual repair that follows is normally just a formality.
Once you grasp the knowledge of how something on a circuit board works with or without a diagram, you are almost there.
There will be another section on how to quickly and properly tackle the repair and various tricks to accomplish this.
It is necessary to mention at this point that you must have at least a basic knowledge of electronics and components to be successful.
