I was able to explain the point of embedded systems to a 9 year old, which helped him understand the big picture, convincing him to pursue learning Arduino. I am sure I should be able to help you learn as well. Typically I recommend 12 years as minimum age for starting with Arduino but for exceptional cases I can teach younger students too. I have also helped 50 year old accountant get started with Arduino as a hobby.
