About Amberly
I am pursuing a PhD in electrical engineering! I have always loved math and science, and have spent my fair share of time with tutors to help me understand tough concepts and complete difficult assignments. During my master's degree and throughout my PhD, I've had the pleasure of teaching labs and classes, which has shown me how fulfilling it is to help students learn new concepts and solve problems. I particularly enjoy tutoring in middle and high school math classes because I find these early courses are what divert students away from STEM subjects. My hope is to make math more approachable and less intimidating, because I believe anyone can succeed in the subject!

Math isn't always a subject that comes naturally, and understanding the concepts can get frustrating. I make sure the fundamentals are well understood so math problems feel less intimidating. These lessons are for middle and high school students who are struggling in their math classes or need a boost to get ahead; whether we work together for an entire semester or just on one assignment, I would ensure the student feels confident in their problem-solving ability and grasp on the subject.
