About Sophia

I am an elementary and middle school teacher. I teach all subjects in K - 5 and focus primarily on math in Grade 8. I have experience with Algebra 1 and preparing students for all state exams and Math regents exams.

About the lesson

I base all my lessons on a constructivist approach to learning. I work to build a conceptual understanding of the subject matter and I believe that the only way students can do this is through inquiry and making connections between the content presented and their prior knowledge.
