About Lauren
I received my multiple subject teaching credential in 2016 where I got a job in the prestigious Rocklin Unified School District in California after graduating. There, I taught 1st grade from 2016-2020 and 2nd grade from 2020-2021. Being a teacher during the peak covid years taught me how to engage young learners online and use digital tools to create a successful learning environment. I left teaching to pursue private tutoring in 2021 and went on to work with students from Kindergarten through 8th grade, both in person and online. I became very knowledgable in the California state standards for each grade level and created fun and engaging individualized lesson plans for each student.
My students always look forward to our sessions where they have fun learning, all while improving their skills and confidence. I believe every student deserves to feel confident in their classroom and am grateful to be able to provide the support to help them achieve this.

With both my classroom and private tutoring experience, I am very knowledgable in creating lesson plans for elementary through middle school grades that hit state standards and targets. Working with younger students, I know how to engage young learners with activities. I make learning fun! Your little one will look forward to our sessions as I sprinkle fun activities and learning games into our session catered to their specific needs. When first meeting with my students, I conduct grade level formal and informal assessments to assess each student's specific need and create a game plan to address any gaps in their academic abilities.
