About Ryan
As an educator and private tutor for over 10 years, I have held positions of educational authority in classrooms all across the East Coast of the United States. I'm largely invested in the academic success of my students, creating an efficient learning plan for each student individually and adjusting based on strengths, challenges, and academic needs. Previous to moving to the state of Florida, I helped implement and supervise a brand-new writing center for the State University of New York at Cobleskill, where I also taught a caseload of over 100 students each semester across multiple classes. I firmly believe the success of the student-tutor relationship lies in the trust and confidence the students have in the ability for the tutor to lead and be a credible source of information. This unspoken agreement I take very seriously as I work daily with students across the United States working to achieve personal goals.

Typical lessons are at minimal one hour in length, depending on the needs of the client. All sessions are preceded by a consultation call/email where I will gain all necessary information on the student and form a goal(s) with the client before first lesson starts. I firmly believe the power of academic success lies with the confidence and empowerment of the student. My sessions are largely conversation driven, with kinesthetic and visual aids to maintain comprehension and attention, while drawing connections to previous sources of knowledge and the student's personal interests.
Lessons are each individualized and developed from week-to-week. Assessments are given in various ways, allowing for proper monitoring of the student's successes and challenges from session to session. Communication with the supporting family is paramount as it takes a village to raise a scholar!
