About Joseph
As someone who learns by sound I am best at accents and listening or speaking. My qualities are not specific to grammar only, while leaning more towards comprehension and speaking. Therefore, I am best suited for someone who is also less oriented towards focusing on formal grammar rules to learn. I can go over these following a set course of your choice, if you wish to go over those too if desired, by using reference.

After learning the alphabet and a minimum of vocabulary; forming phrases, as well as comprehension by listening and reading; which might take around 3 months to 6 months of continuous practice, the learning process becomes easier. Then, listening to radio, audiobooks, can help to begin to be able to converse fluently and speak with an accent of one's choosing, progressively. After a few years, one might find oneself to be as fluent as a native and have an accent that could also often be considered native. "El habla local" or the local speech, can be learn proficiently and local sayings also acquired. My personal favorite is "el habla Gaditano " the speak of Cádiz. Which is both a province and city that I can highly recommend visiting, and not only for the local language, which is both the formal Castellano, with it's particular local accent, with it's own charming and affectionate sayings and forms. Making it good for formal conventional usage but with a particular charm and character which are expression of affection in many cases.
