About Hamza
Hello! My name is Hamza and I am a medical student at the University of Edinburgh with a passion for science and teaching.
Throughout my education I have truly enjoyed helping peers, classmates, and students understand difficult topics and ideas. I believe anyone is capable of improving through the right guidance, encouragement, and approach. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions so they can gain confidence in their own curiosity and hopefully apply that to learning in an organic way.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy reading and learning about science, history, and sociology as well as continually deepening the understanding of the subjects I teach.
Whether you’re preparing for GCSEs, A levels or looking to improve your understanding of Maths or Biology, I’d be happy to help you achieve your goals.

My approach to teaching focuses on building confidence in students and encouraging them to not simply memorise facts, but rather question concepts, think critically, and understand ‘why’ things are the way they are. I believe this allows them to apply their thinking in a variety of contexts.
I have used these same methods and techniques throughout my own education earning 8s and 9s in GCSEs, to As in A levels, right through to my studies as a medical student at the University of Edinburgh.
Lessons are typically an hour long, tailored to the needs of individual students. Currently, I offer online tuition for students in Year 10 and above studying Maths and Biology in GCSEs or A levels.
