About Andrew
I am a UBC Masters in Economics Graduate with experience tutoring students in business, math, writing, and economics. Aside from developing my skills through teaching, I have a real passion for understanding how people think and learn. I am always happy to help however I can through teaching, and the greatest joy I can get from teaching is to see a student empowered :)

Based on experience and several empirical papers, I believe in learning-by-doing. I will:
- prepare a lesson plan based on what you want to learn
- discuss the plan with you
- motivate the importance of the concepts
- build understanding through a pattern of my teaching, your practice, and detailed feedback
My pedagogical approach depends crucially on practice and feedback. That means the most important thing I need from you, if you work with me, is a willingness to learn. Otherwise, I will adapt lessons to meet your unique circumstances, to support you in learning at your own pace, and to help meet your goals.
