About Francesco

I am an economist working in the private sector, specialising in macroeconomic research. I hold a degree in Economics from King’s College London and a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics.

I have a strong quantitative background, developed through advanced coursework in econometrics, applied econometrics, advanced mathematics and game theory. I combine this academic training with daily hands-on statistical and empirical work in a professional research environment.

This allows me to explain complex economic and econometric concepts in a clear, structured and intuitive way, adapting the level of depth and pace to the student’s background and objectives. My goal is not only to help students understand the material, but to give them the tools to reason independently and feel confident when applying quantitative methods.

About the lesson

I focus on making economic and econometric concepts as intuitive as possible. Rather than presenting formulas in isolation, I build a clear narrative around each topic, helping students understand why a concept is introduced and what problem it is designed to solve.

I approach each subject from multiple perspectives and, whenever possible, use visualisation and logical reasoning to make ideas concrete. The aim is not memorisation, but genuine understanding: students should be able to reconstruct results and methods on their own, rather than rely on rote learning.

By grounding theory in intuition and structure, I help students develop confidence in quantitative subjects and apply what they learn in a flexible and meaningful way.

Teaching of R, Python, Eviews, Stata is also available.

Francesco has been very helpful in explaining various concepts of econometrics and data analysis to me, using visual aids and breaking down the maths involved so that I can understand it, despite me having only done maths GCSE prior to my degree.
