About Jorge

Bachelor of Arts in Economics with postgraduate studies in Finance and Accounting at Seneca College and Centennial College (Canada).

With over six years of experience providing academic consulting and tutoring in Economics, Finance, and Accounting, I focus on delivering clear, personalized, and results-oriented classes for undergraduate and graduate students worldwide.

About the lesson

I have over six years of experience tutoring undergraduate and graduate students from different universities and countries. My classes are designed to be clear, dynamic, and personalized, combining theory and practice according to the specific needs of each student.

I work in-person and virtually through Zoom, Google Meet, and the Superprof platform, using an interactive whiteboard and up-to-date materials from various universities if its required, which allows me to address topics in a didactic and organized manner. Furthermore, my stable high-speed connection ensures smooth, uninterrupted sessions.

In class, I promote active participation and critical thinking, solving exercises from basic to advanced levels, always explaining step-by-step and patiently. Thanks to my experience with students from different institutions, I am familiar with the approaches and methodologies their professors use, allowing me to adapt the content precisely to achieve maximum performance.

When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?
I developed my interest in my career since I was very young when I began to feel curious about how the world worked and the factors that were behind why various events happened in the markets, I also had some analytical and mathematical skills which took me to complement and be successful in what I do.
What makes you passionate about your subject?
I like teaching these courses because they are quite dynamic, they quite combine theory and practice and there is a constant contrast with what happens in reality, the truth is that one never gets bored when you start to understand each passage of the course.
What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?
I like it because it is quite philanthropic work because you help other people to improve their academic performance, which has a long-term influence on their quality of life. I also like it because it is not a boring job because you always meet new people with mostly different difficulties which makes it quite dynamic. What makes me a Superprof is feeling passion for what I do, so I always try to give my best so that the student can achieve their academic goals.
Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.
Yes, I had a math professor in college who always talked to us about pursuing our goals no matter what the odds. He was strict and he spoke to us at times with a lot of determination when we made mistakes, but that helped us to form character and move forward in everything.
What are your keys to success?
My key to success is having the will to do things, even if they are insignificant or challenging, you always have to give your best. In the same way, my key is to be patient and at the same time constant with my decisions and actions.
