About Erica
"Economics rarely makes intuitive sense until someone translates abstract models into real world observations. My path into teaching began after seeing how many learners felt overwhelmed by the technical jargon found in textbooks.
Since graduating from Victoria University of Wellington, I have helped 64 students navigate the complexities of market failure and elasticity. These 7 years spent in the classroom have taught me that conceptual understanding is the only way to retain information long term.
I combine theory with practical application to ensure that fiscal policy and international trade become clear subjects rather than daunting hurdles. My approach focuses on game theory basics and behavioral economics to keep the material relevant to current events. It is rewarding to see learners move from confusion to competence as they master supply and demand dynamics. I genuinely enjoy the process of watching students connect the dots between theoretical models and actual economic development."
