About Aitana
My path as an Economics educator began with a fascination for how countries grow, how markets evolve, and how individual decisions contribute to larger economic patterns. This curiosity led me to pursue an M.A. in International Economic Policy, where I deepened my understanding of global markets, public policy, and analytical frameworks. Over the past 10 years, I have supported students from different academic backgrounds, helping them navigate Economics with confidence, clarity, and curiosity. Teaching this subject has become one of the most fulfilling aspects of my life because I get to see learners discover how economics connects to the world around them. Throughout my teaching journey, I’ve worked with students preparing for school exams, competitive tests, business studies, and international programs. I understand that Economics can feel overwhelming when first encountering graphs, definitions, and complex relationships. That’s why I prioritize patient explanation, visual reasoning, and step-by-step breakdowns. I enjoy turning complicated topics into understandable, relatable ideas while helping students build strong analytical habits. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch students grow from uncertainty to a genuine appreciation of economic thinking. Beyond teaching, I stay engaged with the subject through research reading, global economic reports, policy discussions, and studying emerging economic trends. I enjoy analyzing how technological change, globalization, and shifting markets influence societies. These interests allow me to bring up-to-date examples and modern applications into my lessons, making the subject feel alive and relevant. My teaching philosophy is centered on encouragement, clarity, and authentic support, ensuring students always feel guided, respected, and motivated throughout their learning process.

My Economics lessons begin with a clear, steady introduction to the foundational ideas that guide all economic thinking. We explore scarcity, opportunity cost, incentives, and basic decision-making principles, taking time to connect these concepts to real-life choices that students encounter every day. I make sure learners feel supported, especially if the subject seems abstract at first. We break down ideas slowly and relate them to familiar experiences, helping students build confidence while forming a strong conceptual base.
As learners progress, we examine how supply and demand interact, why markets behave the way they do, and how producers and consumers respond to changing conditions. We explore elasticity, cost structures, market efficiency, and externalities through diagrams, step-by-step reasoning, and real-world examples. I encourage students to think critically about how economic forces shape industries, governments, and societies. At this stage, learners begin recognizing economic patterns in news stories, business decisions, and global developments, allowing them to develop deeper insight and stronger analytical ability.
For advanced or exam-oriented students, we move into broader macroeconomic concepts such as national income, inflation, unemployment, fiscal and monetary policy, global trade, exchange rates, and long-term growth. I help students interpret data, evaluate policy scenarios, and apply theory to current economic issues. My lessons focus on thoughtful explanation, steady practice, and reinforcing conceptual clarity so learners feel confident applying economic reasoning in both academic and real-world settings. By the end, students understand Economics not just as a subject, but as a powerful lens for understanding human behavior and meaningful global change.
