About Reina
My interest in economics began with a curiosity about how markets function and policies affect societies. This interest led me to pursue an M.A in Applied Economics, where I gained expertise in quantitative methods, economic theory, and policy analysis. Over the past 10 years, I have taught students from high school to university level, helping them develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and conceptual clarity in economics.
I approach teaching with patience, structured explanation, and real-world connection. Lessons are tailored to each learner’s level, emphasising understanding over memorisation. I encourage students to ask questions, think independently, and apply economic principles to everyday contexts.
Outside teaching, I keep up with economic research, data trends, and policy discussions, which enriches my lessons and ensures relevance. Teaching economics is rewarding because I see learners gain both knowledge and confidence. Helping students understand and analyse the world through economic reasoning is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my career.

Economics lessons are structured to help learners understand the principles that govern markets, societies, and individual decision-making. I teach microeconomics, macroeconomics, supply and demand, elasticity, market structures, fiscal and monetary policy, and behavioural economics through real-world examples and interactive discussions. Lessons focus on connecting theoretical concepts to practical scenarios, allowing students to analyse policies, trends, and economic behaviour critically.
As learners progress, lessons include problem-solving exercises, data interpretation, case studies, and policy evaluation. Students are encouraged to construct arguments, evaluate evidence, and apply quantitative methods to economic questions. I emphasise conceptual clarity, logical reasoning, and real-world application, ensuring that learners can analyse complex economic issues confidently and independently.
Economics lessons also build critical thinking, analytical ability, and decision-making confidence. Many students find themselves more capable of interpreting news, evaluating financial trends, and understanding market behaviour. My goal is to empower learners to approach economics with insight, curiosity, and practical understanding, preparing them for academic success or informed participation in real-world economic contexts.
