About Reuben
I'm a student at the University of Warwick who enjoys mathematics and also helping others to understand, feel comfortable, and enjoy doing maths.
While studying for my A-levels I would regularly help my peers to understand the work we were doing which often seemed daunting, and since finishing I have continued to help those trying to improve their grade in maths to understand how to maximise their potential marks in exams.

I take a supportive and practical approach to tutoring. My goal is to help students understand what they’re learning, not just memorise methods. I break topics down into simple steps, explain the “why” behind concepts, and then build confidence through guided practice and exam-style questions. I like lessons to feel relaxed and encouraging, so students feel comfortable asking questions and working through mistakes.
A typical lesson is around 60 minutes, which works well for maintaining focus while covering a good amount of material. I’m flexible though and so if you’re preparing for exams or need extra help on a topic, I can adjust the length to suit you.
I’m currently studying Economics and Philosophy at university and I’ve spent a lot of time working with quantitative and problem-solving subjects. I’ve also helped peers and younger students improve their understanding and exam performance in mathematics.
My lessons are for GCSE and A-Level students studying mathematics.
