About Malia
I bring an extensive background of success in this field, along with the qualifications which are required to make a positive impact in this role. I have spent the past 19 years working in education, serving in roles that have allowed me to support students from a variety of backgrounds and academic paths. Throughout my career, I have encouraged students to approach learning with determination, resilience, and a strong work ethic. I believe deeply that flexibility, honesty, and integrity are essential qualities in any educational position, and I strive to model those values daily. My professional experience has been broad and well rounded. I have served as a Dean of Students, supporting school culture, student success, and academic interventions. Additionally, I taught AP Economics and AP Government for many years, helping students build critical thinking skills, master challenging content, and prepare for college-level expectations. Beyond the high school setting, I have also worked as a college tutor for multiple San Diego institutions, giving me firsthand insight into the needs of post-secondary learners and the transition from high school to college academics.

Draw a market model together (axes, labels, curves).
Identify equilibrium price and quantity.

Supply decreases due to natural disaster.
Complement price rises.

For each:
