About Yohannes
I am a physician from Ethiopia who graduated with distinction from one of the leading medical schools in East Africa, ranking among the top students in my class. Since graduation, I have worked as a General Practitioner, university lecturer, and clinical educator, serving patients in both hospital and underserved community settings while teaching medical and healthcare students.
While balancing clinical practice and academic responsibilities, I achieved a score of 267 on USMLE Step 2 CK and successfully matched into my dream Pediatrics residency program in the United States. My journey has taught me how to study efficiently, think critically, and perform under pressure.
I am passionate about science, lifelong learning, and helping students reach their potential. I bring diverse clinical experience, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine dedication to teaching. I believe studying should be engaging rather than overwhelming, and I encourage students to approach exams as challenges to be mastered rather than obstacles to be feared. Hello! I'm an ECFMG-certified physician, university lecturer, and incoming Pediatrics resident physician in the United States. I scored 267 on USMLE Step 2 CK and have extensive experience teaching medical, nursing, pharmacy, and anesthesia students in both classroom and clinical settings.
