About Joanita
I am a passionate and patient educator with experience supporting young learners from Early Years through Lower Primary. I enjoy helping children build strong academic foundations while also growing in confidence and independence.
My background includes working closely with children on reading, phonics, early writing, and homework support. I have supported learners with different abilities and learning styles, and I always adapt my approach to meet each child’s individual needs.
I believe learning should be a positive and encouraging experience. I create a calm, friendly environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and trying again. Seeing children gain confidence and start to enjoy learning is the most rewarding part of what I do.
I am committed to providing supportive, structured, and engaging lessons that help children progress at their own pace while developing a lifelong love for learning.

My lessons are designed to be engaging, supportive, and adapted to each child’s individual learning style. I focus on building strong foundations in reading, phonics, writing, and overall academic confidence.
For younger learners, I use fun and interactive methods such as games, stories, visuals, and hands-on activities to keep them interested and excited about learning. For primary students, I provide structured support with reading fluency, comprehension, writing skills, and homework guidance.
I always begin by understanding the child’s current level and learning needs, then create lessons that move at a comfortable pace while still challenging them to improve. My goal is not only to help children perform better in school, but also to help them develop independence, confidence, and a positive attitude toward learning.
Each session is patient, encouraging, and focused on helping children feel safe to ask questions and try their best.
