About Can
I first started teaching online during COVID-19 as the school I was working at had shut down and they needed online learning. After some unsuccessful attempts, I did some research and developed many ways to keep kindergarten students engaged during an online lesson. These methods were then used throughout my school and proved very successful.
Now that the COVID dust has settled, I believe face-to-face learning is ideal, but online lessons to supplement the childrens learning (particularly if they are struggling) can be very useful!

Since graduating from The Manchester College with a Children's Care, Learning and Development diploma, I have worked as a classroom teacher for 8 years and as an online tutor for 3. I have worked in various countries with many different children for whom English is a second language.
- I offer interactive lessons with a combination of online games and powerpoints, writing tasks and discussion based learning. After a few lessons I tailor the learning to the childs interests to make it more engaging.
- If you can share which curriculum your childs school uses, I will be able to follow the curriculum to make sure they're learning what they need to be successful at school. If not, I will use the International Early Years or the International Primary Curriculums and teach English/phonics and maths activities.
