About Lin

With more than 12+ years of experience, I specialise in teaching singing to college students, helping them strengthen both technical skills and artistic expression. I focus on breath control, pitch, vocal tone, range, and expressive performance while fostering creativity, confidence, and individuality.

I combine traditional teaching methods with interactive exercises such as vocal improvisation, recording sessions, and live song analysis. Lessons are tailored to the student’s goals, pace, and learning style, making progress both effective and enjoyable.

Performance preparation is a major focus of my approach. I help students develop stage presence, expressive delivery, and confidence for recitals, auditions, and competitions. Music theory and ear training are also included to strengthen their musical understanding.

I encourage students to explore different genres and develop their personal voice. My philosophy emphasises patience, creativity, and accountability, making every lesson engaging and rewarding.

About the lesson

My teaching approach to Singing is thoughtful, patient, and well-structured. I believe effective communication is the key to helping students understand and control their voice. I explain vocal techniques such as breathing, pitch accuracy, tone clarity, and voice projection in a simple and easy-to-follow manner. I listen carefully to student feedback and adjust my teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.

Creativity is strongly encouraged in my lessons. I use creative vocal warm-ups, expressive singing exercises, and detailed song interpretation to help students connect emotionally with music. Students are guided to explore different musical styles while developing confidence in their unique voice.

Cultural sensitivity is an essential part of my teaching. Singing is deeply connected to culture and identity, so I welcome songs from different languages and traditions. I help students understand the meaning and cultural background of each song, creating a respectful and inclusive learning environment.

Accountability is maintained through clear goals, structured practice routines, and regular feedback. I carefully track progress and support continuous improvement. Along with singing, I also teach basic music theory, rhythm practice, ear training, and vocal care.
