About Rafe
I am a current undergraduate at Durham studying PPE. I achieved A*AA in Maths, Spanish and History, as well as achieving 8A* and 2A with Maths being taken a year early. I have completed the NIAHD programme in America at the College of William and Mary (2019), scoring a perfect 4.0 GPA. I've had previous experience tutoring in schools through volunteering, as well as work experience at 1984VC in San Francisco.

During my time at school, I would often take an approach from one of my subjects, and apply it to another. This would often reveal an alternative way of assessing a question that would allow me to answer it much easier. This principle is a core part of my tutoring. I prefer not to lecture during lessons (unless specified), but rather use the time to help develop the way in which a student approaches a problem. Much of exams is not necessarily knowing something (though a basic layer of knowledge is needed), but rather the way in which you apply this knowledge. Providing the student with a way of finding an answer to a question, which they find much more accessible, is at the core of my tutoring. I truly believe this way of tutoring not only provides the best results, but places the student in a great place for higher education.
