About Katarína
I am a university student of Sustainable Development also taking Biology modules. I originally come from Slovakia where I went to an English-speaking secondary school and obtained excellent marks in my school-leaving examinations (A-level equivalent) in Biology and Chemistry. I had been tutoring for about a year and a half before the pandemic, successfully helping two primary school pupils with learning disabilities to obtain better grades and prepare for secondary school entrance exams, during which time we built a friendly relationship with my clients based on mutual trust and respect.

I always start off by finding out the strengths and weaknesses of the pupil to identify the areas that need the most attention. I then focus the lessons on these areas. I start the lessons by reviewing the basic concepts needed to understand the topic, drawing attention to the bigger picture and connections between various topics while using visual aids and worksheets prepared beforehand. I try to make my lessons as interactive as possible.
