About Sophie
I have been helping individuals learn mathematics for the past three years, people from the age of five to twenty-five. When looking at their progress, I was overjoyed that they were improving and learning to love the subject. I pride myself on being kind and patient with others when learning a topic, no matter how long it takes, we will master it together!

My teaching method consists of lots of practice problems, as repetition is the key to learning math. We would go through a few problems together before the student would try some on their own with my help. A typical lesson plan would begin with two warm-up problems concerning logic and thinking before moving onto a guided activity to introduce the topic before beginning practice. I have 7 years experience of working with children; 4 years of coaching gymnastics and ballet, 2 years of voluntary mathematical tutoring for middle school kids, and 1 year of professional mathematics tutoring where I help kids from kindergarten age to university level adults. My lessons are for people of all ages, I love helping others learn and experience the joys mathematics can bring.
