About Lara
I bring over 8 years of tutoring experience and an MSc in Mathematical Finance to my teaching practice. I specialize in advanced areas of mathematics, focusing on abstract algebra and topology. My method integrates logical reasoning and proof-writing at every stage. Students often struggle with abstraction, so I make sure ideas are grounded in examples. In group theory, I begin with patterns of symmetry before moving to axiomatic definitions. In ring theory, I show how familiar number systems generalize into rich algebraic structures. For topology, I use visual and geometric intuition to give life to otherwise abstract spaces. Most of my students are university learners pursuing pure mathematics.
