About Uma
I’ve been tutoring math for over 8 years, and I hold a BSc in Mathematics for Data Science. My work focuses on helping middle school students who struggle with foundational algebra. I often teach linear equations, polynomial expressions, and basic functions. These topics become easier when explained clearly. I use fun puzzles to spark curiosity. Real-world examples help students connect math to everyday life. My step-by-step methods guide them from confusion to confidence. I’ve worked with many different learning styles and personalities. Some students are visual thinkers, while others need hands-on practice. I adapt quickly to what works best for each learner. I’m also experienced in helping students overcome math anxiety. It’s amazing to watch their confidence grow. Together, we make algebra approachable, enjoyable, and rewarding.

Deep textual analysis is a key feature of my lessons. I also use structured data exercises to build strong reasoning skills. I work especially well with students who are afraid of maths. I help them build confidence step by step. I reassure them that mistakes are part of learning. My goal is always to help them grow in quantitative reasoning and achieve excellence.
