About Orla

With over 9 years of tutoring experience and a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics, I help students build confidence in IB and A-Level mathematics. My lessons focus on breaking down difficult concepts into clear, logical steps. I specialize in Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics, guiding students through their most challenging areas. I introduce multiple ways to solve problems, which builds flexibility and understanding. Past papers are a vital part of my lessons, offering practical preparation for exams. I provide detailed feedback after every practice session to ensure steady progress. My approach balances theory with problem-solving, so students can see the practical value of what they learn. I also encourage critical thinking and independent exploration during lessons. Many students find that this makes math more approachable and even enjoyable. About the lesson

My approach to Mathematics is structured and progressive, helping students build mastery step by step. I begin with strong algebraic foundations, as they are essential for success in more advanced topics. Calculus is introduced through clear, step-by-step explanations of differentiation and integration, while geometry proofs are broken down into logical sequences to strengthen reasoning skills.

Probability and statistics are taught through real-life applications to make concepts more practical and intuitive. Each lesson follows a carefully planned learning path, with tailored support that adapts to individual student needs. As a Future Actuary and Problem Solver, I also introduce flexible methods for approaching complex problems.

Regular practice with past papers is included to build exam readiness and confidence. Continuous feedback is provided to highlight progress and identify areas for improvement. My teaching is interactive and encourages active participation, ensuring students stay engaged throughout the learning process.
