About Jocelyn
I was introduced to the yogic philosophy, at the tender age of seven years old, as a student in a small, alternative, private elementary & middle school. Weekly yoga classes and daily nature walks through beautiful, Virginia terrain were the foundation of my education and informed much of my positive, grounded outlook on life! Fitness and mental fortitude are key values of mine, and through rigorous, body-toning flows or slow-paced, nervous system regulating flows --I aim to lead my clients to healthier lives and consistent mental-emotional clarity! Outside of yoga, I love to hike, take spin/cycle classes, do creative writing, sing karaoke, and eat healthy, sweets!

I am a very versatile yogi who loves instructing strength & stamina-based yoga classes, just as much as restorative, slow-paced classes. My teaching philosophy is centered in pranayama (breathwork), tuning inward, and gratitude. As prana is our life-force and directly affects our nervous system. As self-reflection can heal and stabilize our emotional well-being. As practicing gratitude in the simple capability of movement makes for extra motivation to continually challenge, restore, and appreciate our bodies. I am well-versed in posture + flow modifications for those with injuries, limitations, pregnancies, or just beginning yoga.
