About Matthew
I studied double bass performance at the Juilliard School (MM) and the Purchase Conservatory of Music (BM). I have played bass guitar for over twenty five years and have been teaching for over fourteen years. My previous teaching jobs have included bass faculty positions at Turtle Bay Music School and the Luzerne Music Center. For six years I was the associate principal bassist of the Carlsbad Symphony and principal pool member of the Czech National Symphony Orchestra in the Czech Republic.
I have performed and recorded with many different artists in genres such as; folk, Americana, jazz, musical theater, metal, rock, classical and more.
