About Lily
I am a professional Piano tutor with 20 years of teaching experience, helping school students, college students, and working professionals achieve their musical goals. My passion for teaching and music allows me to create lessons that are enjoyable, structured, and effective for learners of all levels.
My teaching approach focuses on communication, patience, and personalised learning. Every student has different strengths and goals, so I adapt my lessons to match their needs and interests. Whether you are learning Piano for personal enjoyment, academic growth, or performance, I provide step-by-step guidance to help you succeed.
My lessons include piano techniques, scales, chords, rhythm training, sight reading, ear training, music theory, improvisation, and performance preparation. I also teach students how to practise efficiently so they can continue improving outside of lessons.
Apart from Piano, I teach keyboard skills, music reading, and music theory. My goal is to help students become confident musicians who understand both the practical and theoretical aspects of music.
I believe learning Piano should be inspiring and enjoyable. Through encouragement and consistent support, I help students develop confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

My teaching methodology combines communication, creativity, flexibility, and structured learning. I believe students learn best when they understand what they are playing and enjoy the process of improving every day.
The learning journey begins with posture, hand position, finger exercises, rhythm, note reading, and music theory. These skills form the foundation for learning scales, chords, dynamics, articulation, sight reading, pedal techniques, and expressive performance.
I teach every lesson through practical examples, demonstrations, and enjoyable exercises. Students are encouraged to ask questions, practise consistently, and build confidence through regular performance opportunities.
To encourage creativity, students learn songs from different musical styles and gradually explore improvisation and accompaniment. These activities strengthen musical expression and help students become versatile performers.
Along with piano, I teach keyboard skills, rhythm development, ear training, music theory, performance preparation, sight reading, and music appreciation. These supporting lessons help students build complete musicianship.
My mission is to create enjoyable and supportive lessons where students gain confidence, improve steadily, and continue developing their musical abilities.
