About George
I live and breathe ideas, teaching myself Latin and Greek in order to engage with original texts. I find fulfilment in teaching what I have learnt - articulating complex ideas in a digestible form, and observing progress in my students. I am also interested in the theoretical side of teaching, conducting an experiment showing that children learn a made-up language better when reading short stories than doing grammatical tasks. I am also a well-established musician with over a million cross-platform streams!

I am a high-distinction MPhil linguistics graduate from Cambridge, and a first-class English literature BA graduate who also completed a philosophy conversion (the equivalent of an undergraduate degree in a year) at the University of St Andrews. My expertise in a diverse range of humanities subjects equips me with a uniquely wide-ranging perspective, making me ideally suited to teaching.
I have 500+ hours experience preparing students for GCSEs, A-levels, and university interviews. My approach involves allowing students the creative freedom to cultivate a genuine interest in the subjects I teach. I am highly encouraging and enthusiastic. My lessons are typically 45 minutes to 1 hour in length.
