About James
I am a student at the University of Birmingham, playing guitar alongside my studies. I have been playing at a diploma level for 2 years, including playing live in a Big Band jazz orchestra, gospel choir and a 90s covers band, and achieved near-full marks (107/108) in my A-level Music performance exam. This qualification has made me into a well-rounded musician, competent in improvisation, composition, music theory and more.

I focus on teaching important electric guitar techniques through rock and pop songs for an engaging learning journey. This has helped my students develop musically while learning their favourite songs. My A in A-level Music means I am well equipped to help students with music theory, for exams or for a deeper understanding of the instrument. I teach students from beginner ability to grade 5, of any age.
