About Ian

My name is Ian and I have been a 'professional designer / artist' for more years than I care to recall.... :) My degree was in Fine Art (Durban, SA), before I continued studying and graduating in Graphic Design and Photography in Portsmouth (U.K.) [PS. I also lectured in the U.K. and worked with and headed up teams for several UK universities (as the 'Multimedia Officer') - (numerous online sample work) I am passionate about learning and teaching others...

About the lesson

I have had the title of 'Multimedia Producer' - with the various U.K. universities I have worked at over the last 15 years. I am now back in SA and am keen to continue coaching, helping and teaching those skills I have acquired over the years.

I work with both, 'studio-standard' applications - such as the Adobe suite (2022); Final Cut / Motion, C4D etc - to the 'prosumer' / open source / less-expensive apps - such as iMovie, Krita, Procreate, SketchBook; Keynote & PowerPoint +

I prefer to 'project teach' - by that I mean taking my students from A to Z

I am English speaking, so that would be my preference and while I like to keep my classes relaxed, informal and fun... I believe they should also be helpful, informative and educational.

I usually teach from about the Matric age to mature adult...

Perfect! Though he had to rule himself out due to time zone differences, and not being in Canada, I believe that he was quite knowledgeable on many of the apps I had listed, and even if not all, I believe that he could have been a potential tutor, I am happy nontehless
