About Leah
"Teaching piano often involves sitting next to someone during their first awkward attempt at a C major scale. I hold a BMus Music Performance from Trinity Laban and have helped 232 students find their musical voice over 8 years.
I provide a DIAGNOSTIC PLAYING ASSESSMENT before we set a learning plan for your specific goals. My focus covers essential posture and hand position alongside critical pedalling technique. I assist with classical repertoire, pop and contemporary styles, and building strong accompaniment skills. "Pacing matters more than speed when we work on sight transposition or memorisation techniques. I listen closely to your rhythm and timing to offer feedback that fixes issues instantly. This structured approach stems from my years on stage and time in the studio. I combine my academic BMus background with a practical outlook on grade exam prep for ABRSM or Trinity boards.
