With over 25 years of experience playing guitar and 15 years of private teaching experience, Devraj Maitra is a dedicated guitar educator committed to developing technically skilled, musically aware, and confident guitarists.

His teaching combines the structured framework of the Trinity College London curriculum with customised syllabuses, allowing students to follow a clear learning pathway while adapting their studies to their individual level, interests, pace, and musical goals. His primary areas of instruction are Western Classical and Acoustic Guitar.

From absolute beginners to advanced students, the learning process is progressive and carefully structured. Students pursuing the graded pathway can prepare for Trinity examinations from Initial level through Grade 8, while those seeking an alternative route can follow a customised programme based on their personal objectives.

A Personalised Approach to Learning

The teaching programme covers the essential foundations of comprehensive guitar education, including posture and technique, fingerstyle playing, tone production, accuracy, music theory, staff notation, sight-reading, ear training, repertoire, musicality, and performance preparation.
