About Keira
As a dedicated flute tutor with 7 years of teaching experience and around 150 trained students, I am committed to delivering quality music education that builds confidence and discipline. I teach all levels and focus on complete technical development. My lessons include breath support training, embouchure stability, tone refinement, articulation exercises, scale practice, and rhythm precision.
Alongside technical skills, I guide students in understanding musical phrasing and expressive interpretation. I strongly believe that structured practice combined with positive encouragement leads to long-term success. My unique strength is my ability to motivate students while maintaining clear expectations for improvement.
I foster a respectful and inspiring environment where students feel supported in every stage of learning. My goal is to help each student become a confident and expressive flute performer.

My flute teaching methodology emphasises step-by-step mastery, adaptability, collaboration, and positivity. I believe that building strong fundamentals leads to sustainable musical growth.
Lessons begin with essential techniques such as posture, breathing, embouchure, and tone development. I then introduce finger exercises, scales, articulation, and rhythm drills, gradually progressing to expressive phrasing and musical interpretation.
Alongside performance practice, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and rhythm comprehension. This integrated approach ensures that students develop both technical skill and musical awareness.
Flexibility allows me to tailor lessons to each student’s pace, goals, and learning style. Collaboration is encouraged through interactive discussions, repertoire selection, and goal-setting sessions.
I maintain a positive and motivating environment, celebrating progress and encouraging consistent effort. My aim is to nurture confident, disciplined, and expressive flute players.
