About Talia
I’m a piano tutor with a BA in Musicology (Piano History) and 3 years of teaching experience. My focus is jazz piano, improvisation, comping, and advanced harmonic vocabulary. I believe in holistic development through theory, ear training, transcription, and rhythm exercises. I’ve taught students from Early Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate, as well as Professional jazz musicians. Lessons are tailored to individual goals and skill levels. Students explore chord voicings, phrasing, and improvisation in a creative, supportive environment. I emphasize connecting theory to real-world musical application. Lessons include listening, transcription, and spontaneous improvisation. Students gain confidence in expressive jazz performance. My approach balances technical development with musical exploration and enjoyment. Each session is designed to build fluency, creativity, and performance skills.
