About Devika
I have done my Bachelor's in Mathematics Hons with distinction (top 5% in my batch) from one of the leading colleges in India. Apart from having dabbled as a dancer and an actor through university, have also had prior (amateur) experience in coaching classmates. Post graduation worked with American Express as a Business Analyst.

I sincerely believe that Mathematics can be taught and made a lot more interesting with the way it's approached. It's easy to lose interest when the teaching is drab and mechanical. When engaged properly through a mix of visualization, animation and real life examples, it can be tackled in a much better way. To get to the fundamentals instead of rote learning, is a big stepping stone. Personally, I would start with absolute basics and pace with examples, step by step with interaction instead of a typical lecture, with practice along the way, and then structuring practice in a way to make it muscle memory. I would be comfortable with teaching students from the 6th-12th grade.

Ms Devika taught me Maths in 12th grade and made me fall in love with Calculus. I would highly recommend her as she is really patient and breaks down things more easily.
