About Taylor
I am a soon-to-be architect with a masters in architecture and experience teaching. As a high school student I taught swim lessons at my local YMCA, as a student at the University of Michigan I taught 2 seminar courses and CPR/Lifeguard certification courses, and as a graduate student at the University at Buffalo I was a teacher assistant for 2 online courses and an in-person course. I also volunteer with the Buffalo Architecture Foundation's Architecture and Education program where I team teach in Buffalo Public Schools and introduce architecture to young people in primarily low-income neighborhoods.

If you look for the lesson, you'll find it. My approach is to encourage curiosity by using creative examples and hands-on activities. It is easy for a student to get discouraged when learning something new, but this can be overcome by helping the student gain confidence in their ability to reason and think for themselves. I ask questions to help the person identify mistakes and learn from them.
